You may be asking yourself what is Neurodivergent?
Neurodivergence refers to a group of conditions that affect how the brain processes information and interacts with the world. It encompasses a range of neurological differences, including:
- Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Dyslexia
- Dyscalculia
- Dyspraxia
- Tourette’s syndrome
Neurodivergence is not a single diagnosis but rather a term that describes a variety of brain patterns that differ from what is considered “typical” or “neurotypical.” Individuals with neurodivergence may experience challenges in areas such as social interaction, communication, learning, or sensory processing.
It’s important to note that neurodivergence is not a disability or a mental illness. It is simply a different way of experiencing the world, and neurodivergent individuals have unique strengths and perspectives that contribute to society. The neurodiversity movement advocates for acceptance, understanding, and inclusion of people with neurodivergence
